Yak-152

The Yak-152 is a piston-engine, aircraft initial training of pilots. Is developed by Yakovlev Design Bureua, the affiliate of Irkut Corporation. The Yak-152 was developed mainly for the replacement of teachers aircraft.

The prototype Yak-152 first flew on 29 September 2016, powered by a RED Aircraft A03T diesel engine, rated at 500 shp (370 kW).

RED A03? diesel engine provides: engine starting on the ground and in the air at the ambient temperatures from +50Co to –25Co, and controls of both engine rotation rate and propeller pitch performed with the single stick, to ensure cadets will acquire skills corresponding to control jet aircraft.

Manufacturing of RED A03T engines is being established in Russia.
